She is a 2024 Audelco Award nominee and two time Big Easy Award nominee, 2020 “Best Supporting Actress” A Raisin in the Sun, and 2023 “Best Performance in a Play” The Family Line, as well as 2023 award winner “Best Play” The Family Line.

Marvin Bell – Man One 

 … a native of St. Louis, Mo. where he began his career

in entertainment as a stand-up comedian a venture he would continue for some

thirty-five years. After moving to New York City, his acting bug led him to Alfred

Uhry’s DRIVING MISS DAISY (Playhouse On Park) which earned him a Broadway

World Award nomination for best featured actor in a play. And then the role of Jim

Bono in FENCES (New Harmony Theater), the role of Doaker in THE PIANO LESSON (Cape Fear Theater), Holloway in TWO TRAINS RUNNING

(Triad Theater), Old Joe in RADIO GOLF (Gulfshore Playhouse), Ollie in MORNING AFTER GRACE (Florida Rep.), John Prentice, Sr in GUESS WHO’S COMING TO DINNER, (Flat RockPlayhouse)

As writer of “INNER VISIONS: One Man’s Show”, this will be the first time Marvin Bell’s written work has made it to a theatrical stage.
